WHERE IS BUSHEY NORWOOD?

Bushey Norwood is a beautiful National Trust meadow on top of Claverton Down. There are wide open skies, so come prepared for the weather. Find out how to get there here.

CAN WE BRING A PICNIC?

Bring a PICNIC! Bushey Norwood is just so beautiful, there are plenty of spots to relax and have a picnic, in the secret deli under a glorious oak tree, or right in the middle of a field. Please bring a picnic to enjoy during Forest of Imagination but remember to take all your own rubbish and litter home with you! Thank you

IS FOREST OF IMAGINATION JUST FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES?

NO! Forest of Imagination is for EVERYONE! Children, teenagers, adults, mums, dads, family, grandma and grandad – everyone is invited!

THE BATH BUS CO – DISCOUNT CODE

Those brilliantly generous folk down at The Bath Bus Co have very generously offered every Forest traveller 20% discount to get to Forest using their bus service. Simply use the code:  forest20 and enjoy the ride!

CAN I WALK THERE?

YES! Get moving! Join a free, guided walk up the hill from Bath Guild Hall at 11am on Sunday 2nd July. You could even come dressed as your favourite bug. Allow 1.5hrs for the walk to the Forest of Imagination with small children. It should only take an hour for adults but you’ll want to stop with children. Follow the Landmark Route signs and take some water. Don’t forget, the Forest of Imagination is the biggest it has ever been at Bushey Norwood so make sure you’ve got energy to spare at the top!

IS THERE ANYTHING EXTRA WE CAN FOLLOW TO MAKE IT MORE FUN ON THE WALK?

We have created a beautiful Bug Trail! You can follow this walking map any time on your own and, if you’ve got young children, why not make it easier by hunting for giant bugs on the way. Download the trail sheet HERE.

TAKE A RIDE ON THE BATH BUS CO TOUR BUS!

Book online in advance and use the code ‘forest20’ to get 20% off your tickets for the Skyline Tour. If you have a BathNES Discovery Card you can get an adult ticket for the cost of a child’s which is even better.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Those wonderful people at The National Trust, who own the Bushey Norwood site, have told us that DOGS are welcome into Bushey Norwood as long as they come when called and they can be put onto a lead if needs be.

IS THERE SOMEWHERE TO BUY FOOD AT THE FOREST OF IMAGINATION?

We suggest you bring a picnic to enjoy outside and make a day of it – but do not forget to take your rubbish home with you! There are food options at University of Bath, but it’s a good idea to bring some water, food and snacks with you.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Come dressed to have fun and explore. If the weather is wet please make sure you have boots and appropriate footwear and clothing as the long grass can make you very wet if you are not in wet weather gear!
